In brief. The study examined how technological, human, organisational and data capabilities related to AI contribute to circular intellectual capital – human, structural and relational. It analysed 210 responses from middle and senior managers in Pakistan (SEM). AI technological capabilities influenced all dimensions; organisational and data capabilities strengthened structural and relational capital, but not human capital.

Implications.

  • AI helps institutionalise circular routines and transparency but does not by itself change people's mindset.
  • Investments in AI should go hand in hand with developing employees' skills.
