Application of circular economy principles to the creation of circular business models in manufacturing and non-manufacturing sectors in Slovakia and creation of new performance metrics to identify and quantify circular economy effects

Although interest in the potential of circulating business models is growing rapidly, the link between companies’ organizational dimensions and innovative process business models has not been sufficiently explored, yet.

The project’s main objective is to create innovative composite models for quantifying and evaluating the circular economy’s potential through circular business models in selected manufacturing and non-manufacturing sectors in Slovakia. Circular business models can be an effective tool for solutions to long-lasting environmental problems.

Project results enable the creation of a mechanism for more effective implementation of circular economy principles into corporate governance processes in selected industries and identification of the most important factors of their effective development, barriers, as well as potential economic and non-economic effects, and optimal ways to quantify them.

The project “Application of circular economy principles to the creation of circular business models in manufacturing and non-manufacturing sectors in Slovakia and creation of new performance metrics to identify and quantify circular economy effects” (APVV-23-0562) is financially supported by the Slovak Research and Development Agency (SRDA).
