Challenges from the pandemics: adult learning in Romania and Slovakia
The project aimed to equip social partners in Romania and Slovakia with tools to respond to the changing demand for skills driven by the transformation and digitalisation of work, and to increase adult participation in learning. It supported cross-industry social dialogue and capacity building of social partners.
The project focused on:
- employees' barriers to and motivations for lifelong learning,
- mapping the national framework of employer-led lifelong learning (certification, accreditation, occupational standards),
- lessons from EU countries with the highest adult learning participation,
- initiating national cross-industry social dialogue,
- experimental curricula in digital technologies offering opportunities to earn micro-credentials.
