In brief. A bibliometric analysis of 2,091 documents from Scopus and Web of Science mapped 50 years of system dynamics research. It identified four thematic clusters: operations research and strategy, behavioural and participatory approaches, dynamic performance management, and systems thinking for sustainable development.
Implications.
- System dynamics can support adaptive strategies, participatory policymaking and organisational learning.
